On Tuesday I was in an NYFA film, playing the villanous cross-dressing superintendant antagonist to a gamine heroine. That was fun.
On Wednesday I played the personal assistant to a dumb-as-dirt New York actor in an NYFA mockumentary. It is often theorized that improv-heavy mockumentaries are a genre preferred by lazy film students. Hmmm.
On Friday I was in Gingerbreed, a feature-length sci-fi horror comedy shot entirely on Greenscreen, a la Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Having greatly enjoyed the script, I have high hopes for this project. I played Dr. Hydrox, a manic scientist whose relief at being rescued is cut short when he is sliced in half.
That’s right, I got to die onscreen.
