Tropfest NY 2008: I win Best Actor; “The Wildflower” places 3rd!
The weather reports all said it would rain heavily, but Friday night was actually very pleasant (despite the low turnout).
So, I won Best Actor and The Wildflower placed 3rd.
In addition, Barbara Singer of Mrs. Jones (directed by Jonathan Emmerling, who directed last year’s The Switch) won Best Actress!
Tropfest just put the finalists up on YouTube. Here’s The Wildflower:
Those of you who’ve seen “The Switch” might notice that I am getting typecast as an undateable weirdo. LOVE IT.

Tropfest NY 2008: “The Wildflower”
I starred in a short film (The Wildflower) that will be screened next Friday in Battery Park City as one of eight finalists in this year’s Tropfest NY. They’re also going to play a selection of finalists from last year, including The Switch which *cough* also starred yours truly and came in 3rd place. So I’m going to be on the big screen twice that night. Which is exciting.
Nicole Kidman, I’ve got my eye on your money.

Elections-On-Demand
On Saturday I was in a commercial for some cable channel called “Elections On Demand”. Which, as far as I can tell, will be a channel dedicated to the presidential election. The gist of the spot is a series of man-on-the-street clips, where each person says something completely shallow about who they’re planning to vote for. Some lines I came up with:
- “I could never vote for anybody who isn’t a cat person, so that only really leaves me one choice.”
- “I once had coffee with his dental hygienist, and she seemed really nice.”
- “I really admire his stance on the Mac vs. PC issue.”
- “I just hope my skin looks that good when I’m that age.”
- “I had this dream that we raised a child together.”
